Charles Kondru, age 91, of Roanoke Rapids, entered into Glory on Sunday, July 19, 2015. He was from India, the son of the late Samual and Hemavathi Karra Kondru. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Screemathi Bai Kondru.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dr. S. Balla and Mrs. Mrunalini Balla of Roanoke Rapids; his sons, Dr. Ashok Kondru and his wife, Dr. Nafisa Kondru of Ashbutula, OH, Kevin Kondru and his wife, Rishi Kondru of Irvine, CA; his 6 grandchildren, Aparesh Balla, Rima Balla Kolleh, Dr. Anokh Kondru and his wife, Jamie, Neema Kondru, Clenent Kondru, Christa Kondru; and his 7 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Josiah, Joanna, Julia, Avani, Alana, and Amara.

Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Michael Cloer officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
